Andrew T. Kinniburgh (ATK) was born and raised on the east coast in a small town
of Massachusetts. After graduating high school, he pursued an interest in carpentry
and construction. He attended a post graduate program and then moved on to work on
the construction of a multi-million dollar home. One year later, ATK enrolled in college
for the study of automotive sciences. One and a half years into the program, he left and
began working full-time as an automotive technician specializing in imports. In 2005, he
left his current employer, and was hired to work for the Colonial Automotive Group,
where he was working in the wholesale division. Driving a Ford F-650 ramp truck, ATK
would transport vehicles between auto auctions and the group of 15 dealerships. In the
late summer of 2009, the owner of the company gave news that ATK would be able to
find and purchase a car carrier to be more efficient in the transport of vehicles as
business was picking up at a quick rate. He settled on a nearly new 2007 Peterbilt 340
5 car carrier and flew down to Cannonsburg,PA to take delivery of the truck.
On October 8th 2009, "ATK's Life as a Trucker Part 1" was released and
broad-casted on YouTube, and TruckerATK was then born into the media world. The
series became a success and the fans and subscribers started pouring in. His channel
"BigRedI444" really took off and currently hosts over 90 videos.
On December 9th 2009, "Trucker ATK's Winter Plowing Series Part 1" was released
and a whole new series was introduced by ATK to the YouTube world. At this time, it
was the first of it's kind on YouTube. The season consisted of 4 episodes.
During the production of that season, ATK decided to branch out and go solo
working for himself the next winter season. After much planning and consideration, he
purchased a truck, which he later would transform into what he called, "The Ultimate
Plow Truck". The truck, a 1985 Autocar DK64B, was later nick-named "Project85". ATK
offered a sneak peak to his fans and followers when he released "Trucker ATK's
Project85" in January 2010.
As time went on, ATK developed friendships and networked himself with other
YouTube Truckers. He became involved in forums and YTTrucking.com, along with
filming collaborative videos with others.
The interest in TruckerATK grew, and on November 18th 2010, he decided it was
time to create a second channel on YouTube, "TruckerATK". The new winter plowing
series was one of the many video seasons to find a new home on this channel. The
new channel is active and currently hosts over 30 videos, with new videos added
weekly.
